Undergraduate Admissions Deadlines

Deadline for spring admission - - Deadline for spring admission – Please see Office of Admissions for more information. Students who intend to enroll at Southern Miss for the Spring 2017 semester must be offered admission on or before Tuesday, January 10.

Academic dates

Last day to add/drop mini session classes without permission

Last day to drop mini session classes and receive 100% financial credit

Mini session add/drop with instructor permission begins.
Grade of W issued for courses dropped starting this date

No financial credit given for mini session classes starting this date

Mini session classes meet

Last day to withdrawal from mini session classes and receive a grade of W
(After this date students will earn a letter grade for all enrolled courses)

Mini session classes end

Residence halls reopen beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Martin Luther King holiday

Classes begin, including first half-semester (8W1) classes
Add/drop and late registration begin (A $50 late registration fee assessed)

Last day to add (8W1) classes without instructor permission

Last day to drop (8W1) classes and receive 100% financial credit

Last day to add/drop full-term classes without instructor permission

Last day to drop full-semester classes and receive 100% financial credit
