With our growing list of programs and special events, it is a great time to become a member of Lake Thoreau Environmental Center! And when you join Friends of Lake Thoreau, you will also be invited to our membership only events scheduled throughout the year.
Membership Benefits:
- 10% discount on all educational programs (including summer camps & spend-the-night programs)
- 10% discount on all recreational entry fees
- Discounts on facility rentals for programs or parties
- $1 off all daily fishing fees and $5 off fishing annual pass
- Subscription to our quarterly members-newsletter
- Your very own Lake Thoreau fishing lure
Please select the category you wish from the options below. Each category will direct you to our secure store to complete the membership process. If you have any questions, please contact us through our 'contact us' icon on our main page. A card will be mailed to you within two weeks and lasts one year from the date of your registration.
Annual Membership Categories:
Student - $20, Membership for one student currently enrolled at The University of Southern Mississippi
Individual - $30, Membership for one individual not enrolled at The University of Southern Mississippi
Family - $40, Membership for all immediate family members
Donor - $100, Membership privileges for all family members and a 20% discount on educational programs and recreational entry fees
Patron - $250, Membership privileges for all family members, a 20% discount on educational programs and recreational entry fees, and a handcrafted Lake Thoreau Longleaf Pine Needle basket
Business Categories
- Summer Tanager Flock - $100, Membership for as many as 10 employees
- Screech Owl Parliament - $250, membership for 11 to 25 employees
- Pine Warbler Flight - $500, Membership for 26 to 50 employees, and one free rental for a private event
- Kingfisher Band - $1,000, Membership for over 50 employees, one free rental for a private event, and free programs associated with that event
