The First-Year Foundations Program (FYF) expands the training and conversations that start at New Faculty Orientation. This series aims to support new faculty in their teaching, research, and overall success as a new member of our Southern Miss community. All sessions are offered in a hybrid format—new faculty can attend in person in the CFD (International Center 319) or via Teams.

A panel of successful faculty members will share their approach, advice and pitfalls, to success in research, teaching, and time management.

This gathering provides an opportunity to reflect upon the academic year and share directly with the provosts your experience, ask any lingering questions, and convey your professional aspirations for success at USM and beyond. Make plans to join us for a casual conversation with Provost Dr. Lance Nail and Associate Provost for Faculty Success Dr. Kelly Lester.
