Bio
Jianyu Zhao is from Qihe County, in the Shandong province of China. Ms. Zhao was the graduate student assistant of Prof. Ingrid Clarfield during her master’s degree. She also served as intern faculty in the Westminster Conservatory in Princeton, NJ, where she taught students from the age of five to adults. During her internship, she taught group piano for secondary students at the collegiate level, and applied lessons to college students who were preparing their piano exams.
- Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at USM
- Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy and Performance and Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey.
- Received second place in the Westminster Choir College Piano Competition, and as a result, received a scholarship for her studies there.
- Served as the Vice President of the New Jersey Music Teachers Association Conference Collegiate Chapter in 2019.
- Attended the NJMTA Conference which was held at Westminster Choir College from 2017-2019,
- Served as the volunteer helper of the NJMTA Conference Collegiate Chapter.
