At the Southern Miss Double Bass Studio, you will experience the highest standards
of performance in both classical and jazz areas. Bass lessons are weekly (50 minutes)
individual sessions, and you are expected to work on technical exercises, etudes,
excerpts, and solos. Dr. Machado's primary objective is to adequately prepare you
to a successful professional career by developing technical facility and artistic
excellence.
In the past 12 years, the Southern Miss Bass Studio hosted important pedagogues and performers in workshops, residencies and the renowned Bass Symposium.
