Residence Hall Association (RHA)
The Residence Hall Association (RHA) at Southern Miss was established in 1982 through the Department of Housing and Residence Life and has a long-standing reputation of promoting student leadership and growth within the residence halls. RHA consists of six executive board members and the general body, which is made up of elected representatives currently living in campus housing.
Mission:
To provide effective programming services for on-campus students, as well as evaluate
the needs and opinions of residence hall students on a daily basis.

National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH)
The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is the recognition branch of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH). "NRHH strives to provide recognition for individuals who have contributed to the advancement of college and university housing" (nrhh.nacurh.org).
Qualifications to become a member include:
- You've lived on campus for a minimum of one semester.
- Have a 2.80 or higher GPA.
- Have shown leadership in the residence halls.
- You must have a written letter of recommendation submitted to the President and recommendation letters must be from a university staff member or faculty member.
Membership is capped at 1% of housing population.
