Dr. Robert Overstreet

Bio
Dr. Robert Overstreet became Director and Associate Professor within the School of Management at The University of Southern Mississippi’s College of Business and Economic Development in January 2025. Before coming to Southern Miss, he served as an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management at Iowa State University in the Ivy College of Business (2017–2024) and as the Deputy Department Head of the Department of Operational Sciences within the Graduate School of Engineering and Management at the Air Force Institute of Technology (2013–2017). Dr. Overstreet served in the United States Air Force for nearly 28 years in leadership positions across several functional areas, including logistics planning and analysis, transportation and vehicle management, as well as multi-national logistics operations.

Over his career, Dr. Overstreet has taught a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses, including Advanced Topics in Supply Chain Management, Introduction to Supply Chain Management, Organizational Behavior, Petroleum Management, Policy, Process Management, and Research Methods. He has won multiple teaching awards at the student, program, college, and university levels.
