Dr. Ian Cicco

Bio
Dr. Cicco completed his PhD in music education with a minor in voice at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Prior to academia, Dr. Cicco taught in P-12 schools in Southwest Florida with an emphasis in elementary general music. He has presented papers/research at the American Educational Research Association (AERA), the Symposium on Music Teacher Education (SMTE), the Mountain Lake Colloquium, the Visions of Research in Music Education Conference, the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) for Music Education, the Oxford Symposium on the History of Music Education, Desert Skies, and the Association for Popular Music Education (APME). His research has been published in the Journal of Research in Music Education, Action, Criticism, and Theory for Music Education, Journal of Historical Research in Music Education, Visions of Research in Music Education, and The Orff Echo. Currently, Dr. Cicco serves on the The Orff Echo editorial board and as the Vice President for the MS Orff Chapter #100.
