Bio

Erich Connell is a licensed Architect and possesses a Ph. D.

He has always been curious and a creative problem solver. Starting as a kid that built forts, redesigning a bicycle, a behind-the-boat submarine, constructing "leave-no-trace" tree houses for his daughters then transitioning to innovative architectural projects and academic curricula.

He has lived and worked in six states in the USA, resided in Germany and Malaysia overseas and traveled to 24 different countries around the world.

He has worked with many professional architects including; Irving Phillips, Frank Welch, William Peña, Charles Moore, Sam Rashkin, and academically affiliated with; Rodney Hill, J.B. Jackson, Ken Yeang, Manfred Sabatke, Karljosef Schattner, and Maarten Min.

Erich doctoral work involves 'experiential learning', a critical component of the design process for architects and which he implements into his architectural studio teaching.

He received the Ph.D. in Architecture from Texas A&M University in 1996.
