Bio
Luis Iglesias has published on sea fiction and James Fenimore Cooper in journals including Nineteenth Century and American Literature. He is the general editor of Global Crossroads: A World Literature Reader, the textbook used in the ENG 203. He is the historical and scholarly editor of the forthcoming edition of Jack Tier (1846), by J F Cooper. In addition, he organized the Pre-Performance Talk Series, a collaboration with Theatre and is the faculty adviser to USM’s chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society. He is also the Vice-President of the James Fenimore Cooper Society. Luis Iglesias is the recipient of the 2010 Faculty Senate/University President Award for Junior Faculty Teaching and the 2015 College of Arts & Letters Outstanding Service Award. He has served as the Director of Undergraduate Studies in English, Academic Council Chair, English Department Chair, and the Interim Director of the School of Humanities
