Dr. Sergei Nazarenko

Bio
Dr. Sergei Nazarenko received his BS/MS degree from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Russia in 1982, and his Ph.D. degree in polymer physics from Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences in 1988. He conducted his post-doctoral research at Case Western Reserve University where he was promoted to an Assistant Professor’s rank in the Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering in 1997. After serving for several years on faculty at CWRU, he joined the University of Southern Mississippi, School of Polymer Science and Engineering in 2004 where he now serves in the rank of Full Professor. Dr. Nazarenko’s current research interests include a broad range of transport related phenomena, gas diffusion and permeation, probing of free volume, and flammability of polymers and composites.
