Bio

Jacob W. Breland, Ph.D., SPHR, is an Associate Professor of Management where he specializes in human resource (HR) and organizational behavior (OB) management. His teaching assignments include both undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of talent management and behaviors in the workplace. His research interests include organizational politics and power, organizational fit, and social networks, and his work has been published in such peer-reviewed outlets as Journal of Management, Journal of Managerial Psychology, Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies, and Career Development International and presented at Academy of Management and Southern Management Association conferences.
