Bio

Steven R. Moser is the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at The University of Southern Mississippi and Professor of Music. As the chief academic officer, Dr. Moser is responsible for leading the formulation and implementation of university-wide academic affairs policies relating to faculty hiring, retention, tenure, promotion and development. Since his appointment, he has overseen the restructuring of admissions and retention programming at the university, and in 2016 began a campus-wide dialogue to restructure academic units under the Plan for Academic Reorganization: Vision 2020. Other initiatives include the expansion of data analytics in scheduling and fiscal management.
