Bio

I am a behavioral ecology/avian biologist whose research program was organized around the challenges migratory birds face when they stop over during passage, how migrants contend with those challenges, and the consequences of events that arise during migration. My students and I have conducted field work at sites across North America as well as Europe and Central America, but most notably along the northern coast of the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
