Tutoring
Help is available in a wide range of subjects as well as writing and speaking. Don’t
forget your instructor is here to help, too! Visit your teacher’s office hours or
email them to schedule an appointment to ask your questions.
Center for Student Success
CSS is here to help with your academic and personal growth at USM. They offer first
year, sophomore, transfer, and first-generation programs; downloadable student resources
and one-on-one success meetings. Get help with time management, study skills, test
taking, and more.

GO System
There are over 900 scholarships available in the Golden Opportunities Scholarship
and Competitive Programs Application System. Complete one general application and
automatically be matched with scholarship opportunities or search for a specific scholarship.

Academic Standing Hold Clearance
Are you on probation, probation continued, or academic suspension? Don’t worry, these
designations are not meant as a punishment, but instead and opportunity to stop and
examine what is holding you back from succeeding. Follow the link to read more about
these standings and the clearance process. Call your school or the dean’s office at

Campus Recreation
Physical and mental wellness are important elements of a productive and positive college
experience. Get involved in physical fitness and on- and off-campus recreation activities.
